If I have received a fine in the mail or via email, what proof can be requested? I have received a couple of fines via e-mail in the last months and get some sms's about those fines.
I have telephonically and via email requested photos or similar proof, but the just reply with another copy of the fine.
Am I entitled on certain proof that it was me or my car? Such as photograph etc. What can be done if they don't reply or cannot send proof such as a photo. How can I make sure it was me and that I have actually been speeding.
This is a copy paste from outlook to which I am not getting any replies. I did not receive an answer and cant challenge my fines as per your toolkit, as I am unsure what to enter into the challenge letter, under the address, as I do did not receive notice in the post or otherwise as previously stated. All that I have is the Municipality that is reflected on the payfine print-out I downloaded on payfine. One states for example Randburg the other AARTo Johannesburg etc. 1) What is the address. 2) What do I do if I do not have a notice of infringement letter, or is the page I got online from payfine, the letter of infringement. Surely if I received a notice then there would be more details I could challenge as per your checklist relating to “Mailed fine checklist”
Then I have asked for an answer on these questions in previous emails. I am not sure where to check if the Traffic dept has my correct postal details so that I can bring about changes to receive fine notifications in future. I have found 4 fines at payfine but no notice was sent to me. However, I should have got a notice of the fine through the post or otherwise. How can I check this? If my address was correct in the first place, then the fine notices are late by definition and hence as you suggested a late notice past a certain time means the fine is non-enforceable. I have made a study of the kit. I have filled in the forms to send to the different authorities, but do not know where to send or email to them to. I have to present my challenge-applications to three different authorities. AARTO JHB, JHB traffic dept and Randburg traffic. Surely it is not expected for me to go and stand in each of these queues for hours on end .
Where can I email my forms, to have the fines nullified as they are all with faults on as per the check lists, or do they have to be posted and then if so, registered or not? Lastly to which email address/ addresses must the challenge/ refund letters be sent.
