I was driving on the N2 towards Spaghetti junction, joining the N3 East Bound. I overtook traffic and got into the right lane. There was a overhead board suggesting that after 6 Km's, you will have to exit the lane. I had my left indicator on, indicating that I needed to exit the lane. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there was a prevalent accident. I had no alternative but to proceed cautiously on this lane, still signalling to exit the lane. I had taxis behind me dipping their lights. I had to proceed on this lane. Hence I received a fine whereby my vehicle was photographed in terms of lane reserved for public transport vehicles only of section 73 of act 93 of 1996. I received a fine of R300. I have emailed Metro police. I had a reply after 3 months, whereby the public prosecutor stated the I have to pay R200. On contacting them, I was informed that the reduced fine could only be payed at their offices.
