In & around Stellenbosch the speed cameras are NOT painted yellow. I have questioned the validity of a speeding fine at the De Zalze / R44 intersection based on this fact and 4 other reasons as described in the Toolkit, ie. no speed trap camera sign; equipment right under high tension cables & closer than 50m from a massive metal sign; vehicle changing lanes in the trapping zone. Comments from the official when I handed in the motivation for withdrawal was, "we don't have to have yellow cameras as they don't fit in with the natural colour scheme in Stellenbosch" Can you beat that?? His further comments were that the "other arguments/reasons were meaningless"
Admin. please comment on the yellow cameras & where can I get a copy of the W/Cape traffic ordinance that states that the cameras must be yellow? Jurie W.

OK got my first Aarto fine from a sleeping camera cnr Graystone and Helen, 72 km in a 60 zone, on a Sunday. Photo is good everything checks out, will go through the check list at the site, One thing there is no date of issue on the fine, only date of offence.
How to fight this.??? Its seems guilty until proven innocent is now the law of the land
